Does any one know where to get free chicken house plans. It's not that I want to copy them maybe but just to figure out how I wanna build mine.
Been to sites saying free coop plans and you go thru three different web pages before you find out they where free back in 2012.

I tried that too. Then gave up!
I converted my old shed into a coop. Easiest construction work I've ever done.
I would advise similarly and try to get yourself a used shed or an inexpensive new one from one of the home improvement stores. You may even get a deal as there is low demand for them during the winter months. Then modify it into a chicken coop
It's really easy to make it look nice and even coordinate the design/colors with your home.

Have you gone through the Coop and Run Design forum? There are several there. Maybe not so detailed as to give you a supply list, but pretty informative.

Also, try the search function at the top of this page. Just type in Coop Design. It might take some time to find what you like, but there really are so many great designs on this site. We are building a new one and have used ideas we researched here for it.

Our first coop was a design we bought online, and I can tell you, it's functional but not convenient! I wouldn't buy one again. Those people are builders, not necessarily chicken keepers. On this site you find really practical ideas.
