Good morning everyone. Hope your weekend is going well!

I'm still seeing the faintest line on my covid test. I haven't had a 100% positive test so far, just a teeny tiny line that's barely visible, so I'm staying at home.

I spent yesterday transporting birds (let me know if you need transporting services :) ) from Nashville to Kentucky, then Kentucky to Georgia. I, of course, stayed in my truck and wiped down all surfaces I touched on my travels. But today, I am going to try to take it easy. I want to take a nap, but unfortunately, I always wake up feeling really weird after a nap. So no naps for me. I've been on BYC all morning. Even wrote a new article. Now I am fighting the urge to lay on the couch because I know I'll give in to my urge to take a nap.

What are some things ya'll have done when stuck at home sick? I don't really have anything fun to mess with. I plan on cleaning my cabinet incubator after this duckling strengthens up. I wrote an article on cleaning incubators but I need to edit it with pictures so I'll do that later.

I'm just hitting that mid day slump and not sure how to keep myself busy. Any threads I should check out? Anything you guys want me to write an article on? I could do anything about showing, breeding, incubating, etc. . Someone please help a girl out :caf

I haven't been sick in years. My husband and I never even got covid.
When I would occasionally get sick in the past I loved having a day to binge watch movies. Or maybe time to work on a craft. I always have a stack of books I can read.

I'm always moving and rarely watch TV so an illness was a break to relax and do something different.

Maybe make a nice cup of tea or something you like, sit outside if it's nice and just take some time to slow down and heal. It sounds like you've been doing plenty of things.

:hugs

I usually don’t get sick either but I got it this time :(. The annoying part is that I don’t have any symptoms so I’m physically able to do things, but I’m stuck in my part of the house. Unfortunately it’s raining, so I can’t really do much outside. I’m hoping I test negative so I can go to work tomorrow.

I hate sitting around so when I am sick I am either building stuff, watching TV, or caring for my animals.

What about everything about your call ducks? Everything from caring for them (housing, feeding, water, etc.), to getting the ready to show, to picking the right breeding stock. That should take up a solid hour or two as well as being a fun read. Incase you can’t tell you have made me obsessed with them 😅

You seem like the type of person who is unable to sit still! Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but sometimes ya just gotta rest. Binge a t.v. series you haven't seen (or re-watch one you loved and haven't seen in a long time). Or fall down a YouTube rabbit hole, lol! I'm sure you can find some on bantams, or ducks, or breeding, or anything else in the whole world that you might be interested in. Or start your own YouTube channel! 😉

I ended up falling asleep :th Couldn't fight it anymore lol. I'm going to try to do something low-key. No promises though :D

I just watch TV when I'm sick. Something I can put on and watch through disease ridden eyes until they close and I'm passed out, dead asleep.

I get what you mean about feeling weird after a nap. It's a toss up each time for me if I'm going to wake up with that feeling or be 110% refreshed and just completely reset and ready to go

Yeah, I think it's "sleep inertia". That's the closest thing I've found on a google search. It's a pain in the butt because sometimes I just need a dang nap lol
