Coops and chickens

When i make a coop, which is more better, a coop with a door to walk in, or a small coop with a lift up roof?

I'm planning on getting chickens

You need to think about a lot of factors when making this decision. How many chickens are you planning to house? If you build a coop you can walk into cleaning maybe easier. I built an 8'x7' shed and divided it in half. I use the back half for the chickens and the front half for storage. If you go to the coop design pages you can view a lot of different designs and maybe make a decision on what best suits your needs. Good Luck!
