Coops and cobwebs

What's with the cobwebs all over the coop and run? Are they a problem or merely unsightly? Do they have anything to do with mites or other pests? Will keeping them cleared keep my hens healthier?

When the spiders move away or die, the abandoned webs start to collect airborne lint and dust. The resulting dust laden strands hanging around lead to the false idea that cobwebs are not made by spiders.

Well I was gonna make a joke about one of your hens taking up witchcraft and that’s why but when I typed it up it wasn’t that funny.

Buuut. Yeah spiders like corners because less webs and easier to spin. Nothing major, and nothing a broom can’t handle
