Coops are they always a work in progress?

I built a 12X10 foot metal building with a concrete floor last March and started with 24 Barred Rock chicks. I built a 360 square foot run covered with poultry netting. I built my own 14'X14" nests, Installed thermopane windows (left over from a building project. My barred rocks started laying about September and right now I have so many people wanting eggs that I wish that I had built double the size. Yesterday I got 22 eggs and today I gathered 21. I have 5 customers that buy every egg that I can gather. I have 12 more started pullets bought for march pick up and am thinking about getting 12 additional which means I have some work to do before March comes. No the work on the coop never ends. I started way too small. I had no idea how much demand there would be for home raised eggs. My suggestion is to build much more when you start than you think you will ever need. You will be glad you did.
