I am in the process of moving back home after being away at college for two years. Since the decision to transfer to a different college and move back home was rough on me my parents are trying their best to raise my spirits and decided to allow me to get back into what I love and raise some chickens.
So I am going to be picking up a few chicks within the next few weeks plus my mom and I are putting 12 eggs in the incubator. So I am planning on having at least a dozen chickens, maybe more.
As far as the size of the breeds I cant say about the dozen eggs in the bator since its an assortment, but as far as the chicks I am purchasing I am most likely going to get some jersey giants and orpingtons. So obviously I am looking to get some heavy breeds.
I am aware of the space needed per bird (So dimensions wont be an issue to figure out) but what I am asking is if anyone has pictures of big coops to share? I am trying to think up a design and would LOVE some inspiration!!
