I was about to purchase the Boomer & George Haven coop but after reading many bad reviews, I didn`t buy it. I was wondering if i should get it and improve it as far as "sturdyness" and other things in those reviews, or just make my own similiar to it because there was one or two things i would like to change about it. Please reply. Thanks!!

! Pleased you joined us! I am unfamiliar with this coop. You might post over in the the thread below - perhaps someone has that coop and can give some buy/don't buy or how to modify it advice. Good luck to you!!

from New Mexico!

I have never heard of this coop either. But good luck with what ever coop you go with. Enjoy BYC!

I think people are usually happiest with coops they make themselves- some of the ready made, are too skimpy for the amount of chickens they say it can hold, and materials are low quality. They may look good all painted up but, lack substance. Plus they cost plenty despite that. There are so many coop plans are suggestions available on BYC, I'm sure you could find something to fit the bill.
