Copperheads?

found a huge copperhead - about 600 feet from the coop in the pasture? It attacked the tractor repeatedly while in use. Our coop is 18 inxhes buried down on all sides of 1/4 inch hardware cloth buried up snd over on all sides. Praying a copperhead can not get into tbat? Moreworried about when they forage? We gather eggs daily so no eggs for the snake. Food perhaps but so far no issues with mice etc? Thoughts? Anything I can do to deter copperheads?

I’ve heard diced garlic and onions mixed with rock salt deters snakes.

Snakes won't get through hardware cloth, at least until it rots. Problems can arise when the coop doors are open for free ranging, if one gets inside and you don't notice.
