I have three new 11 week old chickens. One got coccidia and of course, the others followed. They've been on Corid for 3 days now. Yesterday the poo looked lots better. Only one had some "hamburger" blood. This morning there was more of it. Looks like two, if not all three still have the "hamburger" looking blood in their poo. At least it's not the bright red stuff. They're all eating vigorously and drinking. No one is lethargic. They run around chasing each other and catching flies. But I'm concerned that the symptoms haven't gone away.

Could it be that their intestines just aren't healing well? Will this be an issue to treat? I've treated a chicken with corid 5 years ago and it worked within 24 hours. that's all the experience I've had with it.

Is there anything else I should be doing? I need help!!! Although they're not acting sickly, I want to avoid any of them becoming that way if I can help it.

Thanks!

That's a relief to hear. I kept thinking something was wrong if it hadn't cleared up by now. So the corid is given for 5 days? I've heard 5 and I've heard 7.

Can't remember, what does the bottle or package say, lol. Either way I think would be fine.

Thanks. And thanks so much for your help, too. I was trying hard not to panick. I just got these three.
