Fran was very very weak this morning, she couldn’t jump out of the box they sleep in. I picked her up and put her down and she stood there really confused looking for a bit and then made her way to the feeder and I did watch her actually eat on her own again!
By now, should she be showing more signs of improvement? I don’t want to lose her but I definitely don’t want her to suffer.![]()
As @Wyorp Rock said here make sure to give the drench orally 2 times daily for several days, definitely with Fran. Are your birds still on auxiliary heat? Sick birds get cold and will heal slower. If no heat is being offered, you might add heat for Fran to use. The others too if they need it.She is drinking on her own surprisingly. But if another chick walks by her and bumps into her Fran just stumbles and lays down poor thing is so weakMake sure that she is getting enough fluids. I hope that she perks up some.
This is excellent news!!I’m so happy! Not getting my hopes up completely but Fran is moving and acting like a normal chick! Still weak, couldn’t fly around much but she is flapping her wings and chirping with the others! Went straight to eating and drinking!
Her crop wasn’t squishy this morning, not super big but it was a little hard or full feeling.
Always a relief when they start to turn the corner! Keep them in the Corid for 7 total days from the stating day. After treatment I would offer up vitamins and probiotics for several days to help replenish their systems. Great job!
