Corid powder for Peachicks.

Medicated chick starter will NOT prevent cocci, if it did we would never need any cocci treatments. Corid is also not a good treatment for peachicks as it is limited in its effectiveness (but better than nothing). The better treatments are Toltrazuril (Baycox) or Sulfadimethoxine. We use Toltrazuril the first of the month to kill all cocci in the chicks system and Valbazen in the water mid-month, then ten days later we followup with the second dosing for worms.
What dosage do you use of the Toltrazuril and how do you administer it? Same question for the Valbazen. Thanks in advance.

12ml per gallon and make fresh every day. Only make as much as you need per day. The Valbazen in water is 25ml per gallon or orally one ml per bird younger than six months, 2ml per hen and yearling, and three ml per adult cock.

Thank you. I just now saw your reply. Another couple of questions on the Baycox: I have the 5%; I saw in another thread you suggested 6ml per gallon. Can I assume the 12 ml/gallon dosage you recommend here for the 2.5% Baycox?
When I use Baycox for my kids, I just give them one dose every 3 weeks. Of course, I'm doing that orally. Do I need to treat more than one day every three weeks when putting it in water for the peachicks?
Thank you so much for your help. I have 9 chicks that hatched out from mail order eggs 3 weeks ago. They are thriving and I want to keep it that way.

Yes, I am using the 25mg and 12ml per gallon, you would use half of that since you have the 50mg. I do a one day treatment but leave the remainder for them to finish up on the second if there is any left.

You hit the jackpot if you got that many mail-order eggs to hatch.
