*sleeps standing and wobbles back a little bit.

I have
*Given electrolytes and water in a little syringe a few drops every half hour this morning.
*kept her out of the group and have held her and kept her warm!

Could it be Corridis(spelling?)? if not what could it be? they are Easter eager's and Americana breeds. got from someone who hatched them out and kept them for a week then my dad drove them home for 7 hours ran to the cities a few hours away (also where they are from and had to get them first) and got some stuff and had lots of construction coming home..

I would think that it is not coccidiosis, but stress and dehydration. I would continue to give vitamins and electrolytes by dipping it's beak into the water, and then letting it swallow, several times an hour all day long. Coccidiosis is more common after 2 or 3 weeks, and is treated with Corid (amprollium) in the water.

Okay I can do that. Should I get medicated food for them? We have normal chick starter they are all on.

Medicated food is not really necessary. I used it with my first chicks, but found that it doesn't always prevent coccidiosis. The best thing to do is to Keep /Corid on hand, and recognize the erly signs of cocci. Many will give a preventative treatment every 3 weeks until chicks have built up tolerance somewhere between 11 and 20 weeks of age. If symptoms occur, then it is time for the acute treatment dosage which is 2 tsp of the liquid Corid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder, per gallon of water for 5-7 days. The preventative dose is 1/3 of the acute outbreak dosage.

Okay I'll pick some up tomorrow to have on hand in case!!! Does it matter if it's powder or liquid or is there only powder?
