Corid

Has anyone ever used corid on chicks about 2 weeks old to prevent cocci.? had a hard time here during Christmas with cocci. lost one of my pullets to it & the other 3 I think are out of danger now, this is 20% powder, Thanks

I used Corid on my small chicks (1 and 2 weeks old). That was 2 months ago...they are doing well. We brought home a nasty strain of cocci, I made the mistake of putting a sickly 1 month old pullet in with my little chicks (so the others wouldn't abuse her). She was one of the carriers of the cocci, so my lil ones got it too. I lost her and her "sister", and a few of my own back yard mix she was initially with. I caught it in time to treat the rest of the flock.
