corn cob litter?

I got my pine shavings from my feed mill but noticed that the Tractor Store has them too. Maybe Petsmart.

With the popularity of raising chickens increasing in municipalities changing ordinances to favor backyard chickens, it would be to your feed store's advantage to stock shavings. Perhaps they could order for you.

With canary's I used it and it would turn musty and mold. Use caution, I think the reason with canary's is they take regular baths, so water splashing and sitting in the cage could be the only issue with mold.

I've used the corn cob litter (alone and mixed) with no problems so far. they sell it at Rural King and it is $3.99 for 50 lbs (I think might be 40) it is sold right next to the horse bedding and pine shavings. Pine shavings were $4.99 on sale last week. I mixed them and have a combination of both. It seems to be absorbant and so far the chickens and I both like it. JMO, donna:)
