I had someone ask me if there was a corn free feed they could feed their chickens because someone in the family has cancer and doc wants even the layers not to be eating corn? anyway, I'm asking!
thanks!

I might not have been clear,
she was wondering if there was a corn free commercial chicken feed - she was not talking about treats. I have never heard of a commercial feed w/o corn. Has anyone?

I have seen corn free ones, but I think they were also organic (i.e. $$$). It's a bigger movement than you'd think, since Micahel Polin's book came out.

I know two separate farmers who grind their own chicken feed, simply so they can market "soy free" eggs and broiler meat. Some people with allergies apparently cannot have it otherwise.

The mechanism by which soy (or corn for that matter) becomes part of the chicken which is then past on to the human causing a reaction, I could not begin to explain, though.

Thanks,
as I said I gave her a mill name, she is getting 20 chickens so maybe she can order enough at a time t make it worth it.
