Mine still do that - ON THE ROOST!

Our girls ( age 12 wks at that time) would roost on top of the laying boxes,even though there was a peak on top to make it difficult., so we started putting them on the roost in the evening once it got dark. After a few evenings they started to do it on their own. I find it funny how they all seem to have their own spot and don't settle down until they are all in it.

Thanks for all of the replies.
It is somewhat reassuring to know that this behavior isn't unique to my hens.
I was concerned that they weren't happy with their new house, which has cost a lot of money and a good deal of the summer to finish.
I have seen signs that at least some of them are using the roost ladder, though I don't know if they are sleeping there.
I am glad to know at least that I don't have a dozen crazy chickens.
