Hey all, I'm in real need of advice for one of my chickens
I have a ~4 year old hen who has pus in the corner of her mouth and now its beginning to swell. I noticed this a few weeks ago, however recently it has begun to look more severe.

She and her flock mates had symptoms of wet pox a few years ago, but they all got over it pretty quickly and without any noticeable harm. Now I'm wondering if this is happening because of the pox, but I'm not really sure.. :hmm

I've left some pictures below. Her right side only started to become so swollen a few days ago, and its not really clear in the photos but the only section that has pus is in the corner of her mouth, thankfully I did not see any lesions or pus inside of her mouth.

Really looking for some help with this!

It does look like wet pox, but I've never seen it personally so I'm not certain. I would try to clean it with saline and keep an eye on the others.

Is there a bad odor?

Looks like it may be Canker.

Sort-of-Update: I have been cleaning my hen's beak with a saline solution and hydrogen peroxide (I found using a pipette worked the best) and its gotten a little smaller (on the outside at least). I also added ACV to their waters just in case that helps. So far I have not noticed any differences in her or her flock-mates behaviors, and have not separated them.

I'm glad it seems to be improving a little. Thank you for the update, do keep us posted.
