So I have had chickens for 30 years and never seen anything like this. Ive been trying to treat her for 3 weeks.

This is a game hen that has her left side of the face swollen (its firm)
Eye is a bit watery
Nose is barely runny
Inside mouth is this hole (there was a cheese like infection that I removed

I have tried so many antibiotic classes: Amoxicillin, Cephalexan, Tylan, Trimethoprim. Also tried Probiotics and Oregano Oil.

Nothing has helped and I am curious if this is Thrush. So wondering if i should get Miconazole.

It is not wet pox as it is only this hole and its not spread. Its not contagious as no other hens have this but she is now isolated. Nothing has helped at all.

Did the cheese-like material have a bad odor? That sounds like canker (trichamonosiasis,) a protozoan infection. It can look like wet fowl pox, but it has a bad odor. The different treatments use for canker are metronidazole (flagyl,) ronidazole, acidified copper sulfate, and others. It is always good to get a proper diagnosis through a vet or by a necropsy. When treating canker, it can be good to disinfect waterers and feeders. Canker is spread by pigeons. Here is some reading:

Thank you so much. Those pictures seem to match what I see in her mouth. I lost another hen last week to a giant hard tumor on her neck. Do you think it was a canker in the esophagus? From what I read it can be in the mouth, esophagus and crop. I got these hens from the SPCA 4 months ago. I am sure they lived in deplorable conditions and probably had it when I adopted them. Wondering if I should treat them all (I have 4 others).

Ill update you in a few days.
