Hello I have been raising standard and bantam cornish for about 3 years , just recently bought some standard whites ,was curious if anyone here has used a white rooster on a dark cornish hen ? what was the result .Good idea or bad ?
Thanks
Doug
From my experience, large fowl white cornish are recessive white, usually covering double lacing(dark cornish). So all first generation chicks should look like normal darks, but will be carrying a copy of recessive white. Which if breed back to white, or each other, will produce a percentage of white chicks. I imagine this has taken place many times over the years.
