Cornish cross problem

I have a young hen [ 3 mo. old] She won't stand up. I can't see any obvious abnormalties to her legs. She eats and drinks well. She just won't stand. Our vet does'nt treat birds but was good enough to look at her. However, he could'nt offer much help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm no expert but, I'm wondering if she's "bound". This happens when an egg gets stuck coming out. Symptoms of this are walking with there abdomen lowered or not standing much. It's possible she has started laying and the first one is stuck. If you think this could be it, try holding her vent over steaming water. This moistens and relaxes the vent.
