We just got our cornish x in the fridge and will rest 24 more hours. Most are easy 7/8 lbs and we ended up with 80 cornish and 1 culled rooster just 3/1/2 lbs they were 10 weeks old... should I go to 12 weeks next batch do they get much bigger

I fed them turkey show food 22% protein and lots of veggies fruits from the farmers market- also LOTS of corn and they are very Yellow and buttery looking!

I usually roast mine. You can fry them but you need to simmer them long enough before they get thoroughly done.

Nice slow BBQ with jerk sauce (molasses and hot spices type of sauce) ........ Turns into a good sticky mess..... 4 more weeks before we have some more wings

I can see that Cornish are the best based on size of these suckers! Fried, Baked or Grilled, I am hoping for a good taste.

I do have about 20 more "red broiler" and I want to see how big I can get these as well..... by end of october I am guessing they will be 7/8 lbs dressed at about 12/14 weeks. If not I will keep to age 16/20 weeks to be sure to get a big bird....

I figure... If I am going to raise chickens... I want a lot of meat out of it and 4 lbs just is a waste of time IMHO....
