Hey has anyone raised Cornish here? Not Cornish cross but the Cornish that the breed comes from.Id like to here about anyone's experience with this bird. I don't think I've seen these chicks anywhere. I only see cornish cross. I'd like to try this bird because I read it puts on fast. But I like that I can breed them. View attachment 3049273

My mom had some years ago, but I cannot find them anywhere now. I wanted to raise them.

They are on the watch list for poultry...which is sad. It's hard to believe the mass produced broilers (Cornish x) have basically displaced the breed they originate from.

Does anyone here know where to find good quality Large Fowl Cornish in the United States? I have some hatchery stock but would love to get serious about breeding and preserving good lines. Here’s a pic of my (pet quality) Whited Laced Red Cornish cock and his little bevy of hens.
