Cornish Roo and white Rock hen????

Traditionally Indian game (known as Cornish in US) were crossed to dual purpose breeds to make meat birds. In UK those dual purpose breeds were Sussex & the like but Plymouth Rocks would just as easily fit the bill.

Jaynie, yes and no, but its not that simple. They are marketed as cornish rocks, but its not just the f1 generation of the cross. The lines that are used in commercial production have been hybridized. They used very heavy selection when starting their lines for growth rate and survivability. Though this cross will make a heavy build bird, please do not expect to get the results of commercial broilers.
