Hi,

I noticed that when my cornish rooster tries to mate with my leghorn hen she suffers a lot because his size.
Is it dangerous for my leghorn hen? Are good mixed hens between male cornish and female leghorn?

Are you talking about a Cornish rooster, sometimes called Indian Game, or a Cornish Cross hybrid meat rooster? A full grown Cornish rooster could weigh around 4 kilograms live weight while a Cornish Cross hybrid meat rooster could weigh a lot more.

When they mate the hen should squat. That gets her body on the ground so the rooster's weight passes through her body into the ground instead of going through her legs. This enables the hen to support a heavier rooster. If the hen squats and the Cornish rooster uses good "technique", she should be OK. If she doesn't squat or if he is rough she could get hurt. A Cornish Cross hybrid will be much larger so I would be concerned.

You are watching them. If she appears injured I would be concerned.

It depends on what you want them for. It's probably not meat since then you'd be looking at the males. Leghorns lay really well with fairly large eggs. The Cornish breed tends to not lay that many eggs and they tend to be medium sized instead of large. You may get a decent egg layer out of this cross but you have better choices for a rooster.
