What did you do in the garden today?

I decided today was the day the hall closet was getting sorted. Mostly because I cannot find the mate to a mitten. On the top shelf, which is far above my head, I had boxes of purchased out of season gloves and mittens to replace season torn ones. So I said, hey, why not.

Also up there were two boxes I had tossed up there, one a boot box -great for shipping, the other decorative-saved for gift giving.

WHOA WAY heavier than they should be.
UMMmmmmmm those have been missing for FOUR YEARS!!!!!! I'll toss it all together and see what comes up in the flower meadow for fun. Good luck all seeds!

I was looking in the seed racks for Oriental Poppy seeds. I have orange and would like another color. None in Burpee, Ferry Morse or Livingston. Might need to order but that has failed twice from Ebay. 2 years ago I got red corn poppy and last year I got blue bread seed poppy labeled as Oriental. Might order from Park seed.

I had to take my sprouted lettuce seeds out of seed cube hole. They were too loose for me. Some of seed cubes had roots growing into them, but the top part didn't look stable, so I ended up cutting each seed cube in half and moved the extra sprouts into their own cube. I ended up with 14 plants. Next time, I will start the seeds in a glass petri dish.
