Cornish VS Cornish cross Araucanas???

I have a local breeder that will sell me either a cornish or a cornish cross araucanas for 3 bucks per chick. What would be the difference. Would a standard cornish be pure bred and the lather cross bred??? Does anyone have expereince with either of these? From what I search on google they appear white but im not sure
