We actually kept a Cornish X hen from our first meat broiler excursion she is now 8 months old and she hangs out with our laying hens. She forages just like the other birds. I figured she would have had a heartache by now but she is truly more active than any of the other broilers that we killed, we just forgot to get her somehow. It would be nice to know how they get the parents to lay eggs and get these birds but I guess til the secret is out I will keep buying them.
