Cornish X pullet's first egg!

Maybe today ... sometimes it takes a bit in the beginning to get the egg factory up to speed ... ;)

I like your dog!

Where do you live?

How old is your pullet?

Based on the size of the "milk crate" ... the pullet seems rather small ... how much does she weigh?

Her comb also seems quite huge ... And "Leghornish" ...

Thanks! And Puerto Rico. She's definitely a CX, I just have them on a free range diet to avoid any health issues. They are around 6-8 months. The 3 pullets were runts and were the only ones that didn't get eaten/died from heart complications. They are around 8 pounds and as thick as they are tall. And yeah, she has a big comb, but not as big as a leghorn. And it is too thick.

Also, new egg!!! Side by side:
Homebrew red layer, CX, muscovy

Today one of my 3 CX pullets laid her first egg! Massive white egg, everyone that saw it said it looked like a dino egg. She and her two sisters will be the stars of a breeding project with a red broiler rooster. She is dirty because it's mango season and they spend all day picking apart rotten mangos looking for worms.

I look forward to seeing results of Breeding a Red Broiler crossed with a CX if we are lucky enough to have you share it with us.
