No I didn't put him in a quarantine; I know the owner and his flock, they are all very healthy. I would normally keep him separate, after I learned that valuable lesson when I had a buff who became ill and died.
I went to Brouillettes Poultry farm in Madison the other day and picked up some hatching eggs (rose comb white leghorns, barred rock, silver laced wyandotte, polish, and a couple bantams) and I also picked up a couple nice black australorps. I was very impressed with their chickens; those leghorns and barred rocks were huge. If you are in the area and haven't checked out their farm, give them a call, they have all kinds of different birds. Very nice people and beautiful birds.
