Correct feed?

Is this a good diet for chickens?

Adult chickens:
~ Scratch feed (which I’ve heard is like candy to chickens)
~Laying pellets/mash
~ Bread
~free ranging

Baby chicks:
~non-medicated organic starter/grower
~ chick grit

Free ranging and layers mash with mixed in pellets. I also feed my birds scrambled egg mixed with egg shells and oyster shells once a week.

For chicks and ducklings I feed chick crumble for 6 weeks then move to chick starter until they start laying, then I’ll feed them layers mash.

For guineas, turkeys, pheasants. I feed game bird feed for the first 6 weeks then I move on to layers mash mixed with game bird food.

Everything you’re doing is right. Just don’t feed them large amounts of bread, and if you have ducks don’t feed them any bread !

They get one loaf once a week. So not too often.

How many chickens do you have? One loaf is a lot. It has absolutely no nutritional value for them. Think of it like cake.
