Scissor Beak is an abnormality caused by spiking of temp. during the incubation period. It is not fatal and will not cause constant pain to the bird, but may cause issues while eating and drinking. Correcting this defect can be very painful and almost impossible for your bird. but, can be done at your own risk. This can be done using a skinny rubber band rapped around the birds beak to the right spot. NOTE-CAN ONLY BE DONE ON VERY YOUNG PULLETS AND COCKRALS. You put it on them while the are about to sleep for the night. take it off for 30 min for drinking and food and put back on and into a dark warm place to calm down and relax for 3 hours at a time. NOTE- ONLY ON FRONT PART OF BEAK, MAKE SURE THE CAN BREATHE THROUGH NOSTRILS. repeat for one to 4 days. at least and stop at a week. anything past that is up to nature.
