I think my roosters got frostbite on his foot and is now wet gangrene… It started as swollen and limping to now one toe looks dead with skin flaking off, bruising, and smells bad! I’ve soaked, wrapped, cleaned, vetmycin, and am giving antibiotics. Any advice???

Welcome To BYC

Can you take some photos?

Where are you located in the world?

A bad smell is concerning, what antibiotic are you giving, the name of the product and dosing?

Wrapping may be making it worse, hard to know, try leaving those off and keep the rooster on clean dry bedding.

We could use some pictures. I would also recommend not wrapping a frostbitten toe or limb. Soaking in warm Epsom salts or spraying with Betadine wound spray inside where it is warm can help treat until the toe or limb comes off.
