I lost my beautiful Hunny to corridiosis a little over a week ago. I am currently treating my remaining 2 hens with Corrid. They seem fine, except Sunny's poop is very watery and milky colored and it appears that some of her food pellets are coming out whole. Should I be concerned, or is this possibly a result of the medicine? I can't bear to lose Sunny too. Any suggestions?

Did you get a necropsy to confirm the diagnosis? How much Corid are you using? I would use 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder in each gallon of water for 5 days. Poop pictures are welcome. Do they have granite poultry grit to help the gizzard grind up food. What are you feeding including any extras?

I've been going by the directions on the Corid bottle and using 1/2 tsp. per gallon of water. Says to do that for 21 days. They get crushed oyster shells with their food a couple times a week. They also get mealy worms to lure them back into the coop at night, and fresh blueberries for a treat. I'm afraid I don't know what a necropsy is. Can you explain the term for me? Thank you so much!

For chickens, the outbreak dosage of Corid amprollium is 2 tsp per gallon of water. Corid is very safe. A necropsy is an autopsy for animals, done by the state vet pathologist. It is the best way to find a diagnosis for what was wrong. Depending on the state the price can be very reasonable.

Too late for a necropsy. We buried Hunny the day she passed. Thank you so much for your input. We've had the chickens for 4 years and this is the first we've run into any problems. I appreciate your input🩷. I'll keep looking for answers.
