I have three hens and keep them in a predator protected run that is 20' by 13'. I never intended to let them free range in my larger garden due to the dangers of hawks. And I was also worried that I wouldn't be able to corral them. But they've matured and really enjoy following me around so I'm considering letting them join me in the larger garden. The issue is, I put out Corry's snail pellets earlier this year. The spring rains have really broken it down but I can still see where I've put it in the garden.

I know Corry's is toxic and I don't want them to eat it. But I can't find anything on-line as far as how long I have to wait before Metaldehyde is no longer toxic.

Anyone know? I suppose I could go out and hand scoop it up and then till the soil where any remains. But I'd still like a more scientific answer to this.
