How big was your tank? I never saw cory's schooling either. IMO, they need a big tank in order to really see that behavior to an appreciable extent.

I started with smaller ones but the final one was 250 litres. (online calculator tells me that's 66 US gallons).

I think my biggest tank was 55. I never had more than 3 corys at a time. Often had a huge pleco, and would often trade them in for smaller models!

I jumped mediums alot, so generalized freshwater, to Tanganikan ciclids, then salt water and never hopped back. I was so fortunate to have a good pet store relationship. Who would take back and resale my no longer wanted livestock or boatloads of offspring(those ciclids were happy breeders).
