Cost of Incubators and Eggs?

I was just wondering how much it would cost to buy a small incubator, like one of those that take 2 or 3 eggs, 2 fertile eggs and the electricity to incubate them for three weeks.

I think it might be interesting raising baby chicks from the start.

The only small 3 egg incubator I would even consider buying is the R-Com and they are not exactly cheap, over $130 USD. Three eggs and your electricity would be a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of the bator. Eggs are going to depend on breed and quality of birds they came from and of course who you get them from. If you don't particularly care what breed then you can find someone local to get the eggs from for free or very little cost. If you are choosie and want a certain breed and quality them it can get very expensive depending. The electricity will only be pennies, no big deal there. Good luck!
