Cost question.

I am using my own shed and am having a referral from Home Depot to come out and set up my chicken coop. I’m buying the hardware cloth, windows, chicken coop door and vents, he and partner are buying lumbar and doing all labor to install. What should I expect to pay for an entire chicken coop run and installation. I am paying 1,000

just wondering if in future to not use Home Depot

We bought a prebuilt coop from TSC for 2-300 dollars and built a run around it. We bought a few of rolls of chicken wire and some lumber for the run. Overall, we only spent maybe $500. But our set up was small and we built most of it ourselves. So it kinda depends.

I did spend more on mine, and I knew exactly what was being built, and I'm happy with it. Do make sure that you know what's being done, and how well, and be satisfied with the results.
Do you have recommendations or reviews to look at? Satisfied previous costumers?
It's hard to sort out building trades people!
Quality work should cost...
See drawings and have very clear descriptions of the work planned. We can all help if you give your approximate location, and sketches.

I probably spent around 500. Our run is 35x25x7 and our coop is 10x10x8. The most money came from the hardware cloth and we built everything ourselves. Half of our coop is also an old playhouse that we modified and added onto.

We were past the do-it-yourself time, so paid for the work and materials. Worth every dime though!

I am at about $1100 on my 4x8' coop that I am building and wiring for the run (converting a 10x10 kennel). Hope that helps.

What ever you spent on material you can expect to spend in labor. Not always but in general. $1000 in material, $1000 in labor.

Sounds like you’re getting a good deal to me. I spent around $1700 and had to build it myself.

Do you have detailed plans?
Important to know what you need/want and make sure you get what they quoted on.

What ever you spent on material you can expect to spend in labor. Not always but in general. $1000 in material, $1000 in labor.

Ditto Dat^^^...sometimes labor can cost more than materials.
