Cotton Thread Suture Removal - How many days? if any?

Hey folks. Didn't have the right thread (since ordered a full suture kit on amazon) so we used cotton thread on a full thickness laceration on a turkey. Y shaped about 3-4" Sutured it closed with four laps. It's 100% cotton. Should I removed the stitches? Let it break down normally? Silk and Monofil I get need to be gone by 10 days. The way these look now after 4 days, they will be completely absorbed by day 7 or 8.
Any ideas?

It sounds like they will disintegrate on their own. I'd still look the wound site over at the 10 day mark and try to remove whatever you can see is left there.
