coturninx quail hatching in small spread out groups??

Is this normal they were do last night was day 17
Took out 7 this morning got about 3 mid day and 5 this afternoon and a lot more with pips tonight will start day 18 my last batch done this as well over a 3 day period from day 16 to 19 and had 75 out of 120 hatch I did have a temp swing in the incubator about a 10 days ago had to repair a turning shelf so is this causing my problem?

Well 51 out of 120 now and looks like more coming idk y so spread out though

That's not that spread out. It is common, especially in a large clutch, for the hatch to occur over 48 hours or so. I have had my first chick pip on day 16, hatch on day 17 and hatch the last one on day 19. They can hatch anywhere between days 16 and 19, or even 20, depending on several factors, including incubation temp.

Good luck with the rest. If you go 24 hours without a new pip or hatch, you're probably done.

I had coturnix go 21 days. Incubation does not stadt until Yolk temp is 99.5

OK thanks very much my 2nd group of 120 eggs over the weekend done the same but with a lot more hatched
