I have a coturnix hen and a coturnix roo and a a&m hen but the roo isnt riding the a&m I am worried the coturnix hen is being over riden because she is running out of neck feathers. Alittle Iinsight would be great thanks!

You can't have pairs of coturnix quail. Domestic coturnix should be kept in coveys because the males breed so aggressively. If you keep a coturnix roo with less than 3 hens he will eventually breed one or more of them to death.

Coturnix should be kept in groups of 1:4-1:7 Male:female to avoid this.

And you where right. One hen was bred to death last night I am getring rid of the roo abd getting more hens

Sucks, but the birds teach you more than anyone else can. If any of my birds kill or cannibalize another bird I watch closely to make sure they aren't going to continue doing it. If they display continued aggression after the first instance of cannibalism, I cannibalize them myself ;)
