Coturnix coturnix japonica: original domesticated quail

Hi everyone!
I am a newb here on BYC and new to quail. I am learning and would like to learn more about the original domesticated quail....... Pharoah, King, brown........... I am not interested in colors, just the plain old original brown coturnix japonica.
I am interested to find out if there are any undiluted lines out there that are obtainable for breeding purposes of same type bird.
I would like to have the standard and the larger jumbos. I have seen the problems with some people offering these birds but will have birds of other color come from their stock. Are these probably from a "for color" breeding that just happened to have the standard browns and are being sold as "Pharoahs" only to have some other color pattern pop out later? Are the color mutations that random from original lineage? Are the Jumbos from selective breeding of the original lines? Is there any other reason to continue the original lineage other than preservation of the color type?
Any help (and/or opinions) would be greatly appreciated!

Please be kind... I know there are some beautiful color patterns out there, but for now I am only interested in what I have posted here and not tring to knock anyone. Thanks!

Not sure what King is, but pharoah and brown are the same. James Marie hatchery has some great birds, so everyone says, so get some meat birds from him. They're jumbo brown. I think you'll like them better than standard.

The bird I am refering to has and is being called by different names, so I just put the three most typical that I have come across. I also found this in my research of the history:
" The domesticated subspecies, Coturnix coturnix japonica, is called Japanese quail but is also known by other names: Common quail, Eastern quail, Asiatic quail, Stubble quail, Pharaoh's quail, Red-throat quail, Japanese gray quail, Japanese migratory quail, King quail, and Japanese King quail. The correct popular nomenclature for Coturnix coturnix japonica should be Japanese quail or coturnix, but not coturnix quail since in Latin "coturnix" may be translated as quail."
I was just trying to make clear what bird I was talking about. All the names get confusing.
