So do you think that gray egg is a shade of celadon?Oh, this is one of the great mysteries of quail. Celadon layers ALWAYS lay blue eggs, but others will also *occasionally* do it.

I agree with them. See what happens!!!I wouldnt call it that? Just cuz that implies the hen carries two copies of the celadon gene and therefore would be able to pass it down. Have no idea what's going on with these ladies!
I have no idea what to call the random blues. Just random blues I guess.
It would be interesting to breed any of these to a celadon male and see what happens, though.
