Coturnix egg laying?

I have 11 coturnix quail, all of which are 8 weeks old. About a week ago I went out in the morning to find my first egg which I was very excited about. Since then, however, there has been nothing. They are on layer mash and the boys are very interested in the girls. Is this normal???

If you want a good egg production give them a high protein feed with oyster shell. I've heard that many don't keep their birds of the stater feed because of its nutrition and birds grow to their max. But yeah use high protein feed. Hope this helps.
