Coturnix housing?

If I make my housing 2ft high with a burlap ceiling at 20 inches to prevent bonking would that prevent head injuries and still give them room to jump? They seem to really enjoy going airborne

Should Be Fine... You Can Always Get Some Plastic Netting And Make A False Ceiling Out Of That... I'd Think Burlap Would Work Well. Heck Even Window Screen Or Poly Tarp Would Work.
