Coturnix (jumbo/normal) food?

Alright, I have another question on jumbos/standards. Are the jumbos obvious to tell from the standard size birds right after hatching? If I go with one auction, I'll end up with jumbo browns, regular browns and A&M. I would only want to keep the A&M and the jumbos, and preferably get rid of the regular browns ASAP.

technically yes. Keep the biggest and do what ever you plan to do with the rest. Jumbos are just bigger in size so any that are big keep any that aren't dont.

You can breed nothing but jumbos together and still get pharoah sized coturnix, this is because without selective breeding not all will be big. I have some A & Ms that aren't jumbo in size, which is ironic since A &Ms are to be jumbo in size. Through selective breeding i'll get them back up to their accepted size though. Also bigger eggs tend to grow bigger chicks.

Slow? Slow to respond or slow to learn about the coturnix? Nah to both! LOL!

Ask all the questions you want! I personally am happy to help give you my thoughts/oppinons/experiences on them. You ask and you learn
