coturnix quail chicks hatched with curled feet

I have a 1 day old coturnix chick that took 26 hours to get out of it's shell. Once it finally got out, I learned it's feet are curled. I did some research which said to try making *boots* to uncurl the feet. My question is, has anyone done this successfully and how long do you leave the boots on for? The poor little one is having a tough time getting around with them on, but is eating and drinking and the others are not picking on him too bad. I really want to exhaust all efforts to fix this before my last option-death.

I had one hatch with curled up feet. I just left it alone, they straightened out in a few days.
