Coturnix quail eggs day 16

well took a look in the bator with a flash light and seen my first egg do its little rocking thing. cant wait to see what kind of hatch rate i have. i set them in my brinsea and then moved them over to the lg for hatching. well i guess i need to get out of the house today and give them time to do thier thing.. will update when i have a chick hatch or if i have a chick hatch. dont wanna count my chicks before they hatch.

this is my first quail hatch so its like tic--toc tic ----toc lol time just keeps getting slower and slower. 2 eggs now rocking one looks like it might have a tiny little pip but i cant tell for sure will keep an eye on it.

Ok I check my eggs at like 11 am nothing , head out side with DS cause he is climbing the walls , play out side for about 2 hours go over to Grandmas for another hour, come home around 3 ( lost some time somewhere lol) and I glance at the bator thinking there isnt gonna be anything , walk by all dissapointed and make it allt he way to the bathroom befor it registers in my rather fried brain that there was a hole in one of the eggs

, for get I have to potty and run back to the bator , THERES A PIP Thats starting to zip and a little tiny tiny tiny tiny beak ....

HOpefully here in a couple hours youll have pips and zipps too , there funny little blighters they usually hatch pretty fast once they decide to finnaly do it.

Having to wait for chicks to hatch is horrible I'm still waiting for the 1 hour incubator to be invented where you put your eggs in and they hatch in an hour.

well its day 17 and still nothing. i have a lot of pipped eggs and still see them rocking but no chicks. went to bed last night thinking i would wake up to a few chicks and was really bummed when i looked in the bator and nothing but eggs. well i guess i will just sit back and relax and wait.
