Coturnix quail eggs day 16

hey john congrats!!! i got 12 out of 13 fertile out of 27 total coutornix eggs!!! 1st time incubating on my home made incubator!!! my first rocking was on friday night, the first pip saturday night and they finally hatched on monday! exactly 18 days, from now on ill count 18 days.. where did u get the eggs for the little white quail chicks? i just find to buy eggs for coutornix.

I got my eggs off ebay. it was 9 bucks for 40 plus 5 free was a mix of jumbo browns goldens and A&Ms. i had 7 cracked when i got them. i tried to seal them with the candle wax trick but they dried up in the shell. i only got 3 A&MS and 4 goldens and the rest of my 28 chicks is all jumbo browns. i think i am going to keep the A&Ms for my neice she kind of freaked when she asked what i was going to do with them and i told her we were going to have stuffed quail lol. she told me real quick i will turn them loose. then i had to tell her if she turns them loose we could get in trouble and that they would just die in this part of the country.

Who did you buy from on ebay? I just got 150 that are being shipped from Oregon (the Martins farm). She said they have been having great hatching on their shipped eggs. Yikes, I was thinking if I got 50% hatch on the shipped eggs I would have my hands full!
