Coturnix Quail Genetics Question

Hello!

I have been staring at genetics for hours and cannot wrap my mind around it.

I have a flock of Jumbo Pansy’s and a flock of Standard Splash. They are kept separate but I have been curious about what the outcome would be if I did mix some. Would that create tuxedo quail that are mostly on the larger size? I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk of dirtying up my current lines.

Pansy is recessive so you’ll just get splash and whatever the base color is (splash is a white gene right?). Second generation you’ll get some pansy splash and more of your base color splash. Size will be a range.
