I stuck short parakeet wood toys in my cage when I had my Stella only. He would jump and ring the bell for hours. Then I got him wife #1 ( racoon meal) and he forgot all about the bell

after wife #1 passed on he went back to bell ringing until I gave him Cinderella (Wife #2). Cinderella is a jumbo and was too tall for the toy (kept bumping into it) so the toy left and the retiree and his honey are a happy family

30% protein GBS and tap water. For chicks....anything is game for adult birds. A sand box is nice!
